This spectacular annual outdoor lighting festival is held in Sydney, 24 May – 15 June 2024.
Vivid Sydney is an annual festival set to return on 24May to 15 June 2023. The 23 day festival showcases cutting-edge light art and a free 8.5km Light Walk adventure covering Circular Quay, The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Darling Square, Darling Quarter, The Goods Line and Central Station! This year, Light also takes over Taronga Zoo with Wild Lights and The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney with Lightscape, the world-famous spellbinding 2.1km experience in Sydney for the first time ever!
Invigorating the city of Sydney with 57 awe-inspiring art installations and 3D interactive light projections, Vivid Light transforms our urban environment into a kaleidoscopic wonderland.
The event also plays host to some of the best Australian and international musical acts as well as creatives and masterminds who share their ideas and inspirations. Also with a special culinary experience this year. There’s something for everyone.
Even more exciting is the unused Wynyard Station tunnels will open for the first time ever with eight rooms illuminated with choreographed world-class technology and light set to dynamic musical tracks! Dark Spectrum will open every night of the festival, this is a ticket entry event so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.
The entrance and box office for Dark Spectrum is located in Wynyard Park between York and Carrington Streets. Please note, you will exit via Cumberland Street in The Rocks. A journey to truly experience in person!
