Metro Hotel Perth has been awarded a Gold Medal in the Standard Accommodation category for the second year running in the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards announced last weekend.
As a Gold Medallist, Metro Hotel Perth will go on to represent Western Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards being held in Launceston on March 1, 2019.
The Western Australia Tourism Awards are recognised as the most prestigious tourism awards in the State, showcasing the best in the industry for outstanding customer service, innovation and ongoing business excellence.
The Awards are organised by Tourism Council WA and supported by Tourism WA.
Metro Hotel Perth completed a major $14million redevelopment in 2016, which included a newly-built 53-room ‘Aspire Wing’, a new Red Bill restaurant and bar, and new function rooms, reception area and lobby.
Metro Hotel Perth General Manager, Jeff Hirst, said he and staff were thrilled the property received this prestigious award for the second year running.
“Not only has this extensive renovation and refurbishment enabled us to offer a superior standard of accommodation to our corporate and leisure guests, being named the winner in this category is testament to our success in enhancing the overall standard of our property.”
