Metro Hotel Perth has been awarded a Gold Medal in the Standard Accommodation category of the 2017 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards held at Crown Perth on Saturday 11 November, 2017.

As a Gold Medallist in the State Awards Metro Hotel Perth will go on to represent Western Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, being held at Perth Stadium on February 23, 2018.

The Western Australian Tourism Awards are recognised as the most prestigious tourism awards in the State, showcasing the best in the industry for outstanding customer service, innovation and ongoing business excellence.

The Awards are organised by Tourism Council WA and supported by Tourism WA.

Metro Hotel Perth completed a major $14million redevelopment last year, which included a newly-built 53-room ‘Aspire Wing’, a new Red Bill restaurant and revamped function rooms, reception area and lobby.

Metro Hotel Perth General Manager, Paul Rogers, said he and his staff were thrilled to be awarded first place in the Standard Accommodation category.

“Not only has this extensive renovation and refurbishment enabled us to offer a superior standard of accommodation to our corporate and leisure guests, winning this category is testament to our success in enhancing the overall standard of our property.

Metro Hotel Perth is located less than 5 kilometres from the Perth CBD and 2.5 kilometres to the Crown Perth entertainment precinct.  This iconic hotel has been part of the South Perth skyline since the 1970s, and will extend its offering of quality, affordable hotel accommodation to the Perth market for both leisure and corporate travellers.
