Metro Advance Apartments & Hotel Darwin has unveiled a new mural created by Australian artist Jasmine Crisp for the 2025 Darwin Art Festival. Installed on the hotel’s exterior, the artwork brings colour, creativity, and contemporary expression to the Darwin CBD while adding to the city’s growing collection of public art.

Metro Advance Apartments & Hotel Darwin is now home to a striking new mural by emerging Australian artist Jasmine Crisp, created as part of the 2025 Darwin Art Festival street art program. The installation strengthens the hotel’s connection to the local creative community and adds another significant work to the expanding landscape of Darwin street art.
Displayed prominently on the hotel’s exterior façade, the mural introduces expressive colour, bold composition, and contemporary detail to a prominent corner of the Darwin CBD. Crisp, recognised for her narrative-driven approach and modern figurative style, was selected by the Darwin Street Art Festival team to contribute a work that aligns with the festival’s mission to grow the Northern Territory’s public art collection.
Hotel Manager, Stefanos Vasilakis, said the artwork has already become an eye-catching feature for guests and locals.
“Having this mural created on our building has been an exciting experience. It’s added a distinctive artistic element to our property and has already become something people stop to admire. We’re pleased to host one of the festival’s completed works and contribute to Darwin’s vibrant creative landscape.”
The mural has quickly become a point of interest within the neighbourhood, drawing visitors exploring the city’s evolving public art trail and those who follow the growth of contemporary Australian artists involved in the festival each year.
The development of the piece was captured by photographer Charlie Bliss, documenting its evolution from initial outlines to the final layering of colour and detail.
Crisp’s mural reflects her signature approach to storytelling through expressive figurative elements, layered imagery, and a strong sense of emotional narrative.
