The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel is the ultimate day and night experience.  During the day, enjoy a totally new outlook on Melbourne’s busy port, scenic gardens, and bustling streets. You can even try a 60 minute Yoga class in the sky, which empowers both beginner and intermediate level participants to perfect their posture and reclaim clarity, 40 storeys’ high!


Then in the evening, watch the city come to life with its bright lights, all whilst sipping on a beer, wine or cider to make your experience even more enjoyable.


Guests will also delve into Melbourne’s history with the Observation Wheel’s in-cabin audio commentary, revealing interesting stories, both past, and present.


Getting There and General Information


Located at 101 Waterfront Way, Docklands, the Observation Wheel is accessible by tram (number 86 via Bourke Street). Disembark at The District Docklands (Stop D11) and enjoy an easy 4-minute walk to the Melbourne Star.


The Observation Wheel is open 365 days a year, opening from 11am-7pm during May to August, and 11am-10pm during September to April.


Souvenir photos are available in the Melbourne Star Shop and a selection of food outlets are open within the Melbourne Star Piazza.
