This famous 14 kilometre walk, or run if you’re up for it, starts from Hyde Park and ends at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. Join in for a high energy, feel good experience, to help raise funds for over 900 charities. So lace up your shoes and get ready for a fun day out.
The thrilling race begins at Hyde Park, in the heart of Sydney, at the crossing of Park and College Street. Initiating on the slope of William Street, the course soon heads uphill towards the Kings Cross tunnel. After a trip up New South Head Road, runners tackle “Heartbreak Hill” – the picturesque half-way point – before heading onto Old South Head road and, and then Military Road. The race heads downhill once more and finally approaches the finish line at Queen Elizabeth Drive, across the stunning and iconic Bondi Beach.
Entry in the City 2 Surf race ranges from the standard adult fee of $77 to the standard platinum pass value of $209. The family passes cover two adults and a child (15 and under) or one adult with two children.

The starting point is best reached by train, as many of the aforementioned roads will be closed for the race. The closest stations are St James Station and Museum Station; located on the edge of Hyde Park.
There are Metro Hotels located close to the event. Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central is only 6 minutes from Hyde Park, Metro Apartments on Darling Harbour are 14 minutes away, Metro Apartments on King are 13 minutes away, and Metro Aspire Hotel 20 minute from the start line.
