This marketplace, the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and the third largest seafood market in terms of variety in the world.


The ongoing redevelopment of the Sydney Fish Market promises to elevate the visitor experience even further. Set to be completed in 2024, the redevelopment aims to enhance the market’s infrastructure, expand its footprint and introduce modern amenities. Offering 30 retail shops, 400 car park spaces, ground floor auction hall, wholesale operations, fishing vessel wharves and loading dock, restaurants, food retailers, office space, restaurant, bar and popular Sydney Seafood School.


The new site will contain more than 6,000m2 of new public spaces which will include a public park, Waterfront Promenade, local plaza and Bridge Road Promenade.
