The heritage listed Royal National Park offers visitors so many exciting experiences; fishing, bushwalking, swimming and bird watching, this diverse park is a great day out for nature lovers!
Established in 1879, it is the world’s second oldest national park. The park has a wide variety of plants, animals and unique heritage attractions.
It is the perfect location for activities such as bushwalking, cycling, kayaking, surfing and picnicking and gives visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique scenery of the area. The 160 square kilometre park offers some of the best walking and cycling tracks in Sydney, where visitors can take in spectacular views and iconic sites such as Wedding Cake Rock.
The park is home to some of the most beautiful and untouched beaches in Australia, including the surf hotspot Garie Beach and the calmer, family favourite Jibbon Beach. It is also home to freshwater swimming pools including the Karloo Pool and Deer Pool.
The park is an ideal destination for visitors looking to explore the local wildlife and scenery, there is so much to explore!
Park Entry is $12 per vehicle and has parking available. Garie Beach is patrolled in summer but not all the beaches are, so make sure you check. The park provides a range of facilities including toilets, picnic tables, barbeque facilities, cafes and drinking water stations.
From Metro Hotel Miranda it is just a 16 minute drive to the park, with parking available.
