The official Home and Away Tour is an experience every Home and Away fan must do to see firsthand the location and filming of one of the most famous television shows in Australia.
Palm Beach, otherwise known as ‘Summer Bay’ is the filming site of the iconic Australian television show Home and Away. Visit outdoor filming locations of the hit show, with experienced expert guides sharing their knowledge and inside scoops about the show.
This tour is an experience every Home and Away fan must do to explore the location and filming of one of the most famous television shows in Australia. See the Summer Bay Surf Club, Alf’s Bait Shop, the Lighthouse and explore famous Palm Beach. Visitors may be lucky and see filming, take photos with the cast, hear inside stories about the show, as well as drive along Sydney’s coast taking in the sites of Whale Beach, Avalon Beach and Bilgola Beach. Finishing at Manly Beach, visitors are able to explore the iconic Sydney suburb and everything it has to offer.

Getting there and general information:
Metro Mirage Newport provides a Home and Away hotel package, which includes overnight accommodation, 1 adult tour ticket per stay (additional adult/child tickets can be added to your booking) and complimentary WiFi. The tour departs from Dearin Reserve bus stop (a 2 minute walk from the hotel). Find out more about the Home and Away package at the link below:
The tours run every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays- Guests should be aware that there are 3 possible filming days being Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; filming is not expected on Fridays or Saturdays. The tour lasts for 4 hours (depending on traffic); check the website for specific times, as they may vary depending on the day.
The usual pick-up point for those not coming from Metro Mirage Newport is outside the sliding door entrance to the Museum of Contemporary Art on George Street, The Rocks Sydney.
The tour will finish at Manly Beach, where visitors are able to explore Manly. If travelling from Manly to the Metro Mirage Hotel Newport it is a 38 minute drive. Using public transport visitors can catch the 199 bus from Manly wharf stand G towards Palm Beach and get off at Dearin Reserve, Kalinya Street; this trip will take 1hour 15 minutes all up. Please discuss with the tour Company directly for any special requirements and alternative pickup/ drop off arrangements.
