Palm Beach, otherwise known as ‘Summer Bay’ is the filming site of the iconic Australian television show Home and Away. Visit outdoor filming locations of the hit show, with experienced expert guides sharing their knowledge and inside scoops about the show.

This tour is an experience every Home and Away fan must do. An opportunity to explore Summer Bay and see why it is home to one of the most famous television shows in Australia. There are 4 options, when booking this tour.

1. Filming Very Likely
This tour gives fans the opportunity to see Home and Away filming in action!! Although we can not 110% guarantee it, we are confident that the Mondays and Tuesdays marked on the calendar are very likely filming days.

2. Meet & Greet Fan Favourite
Want a meet and greet with a fan favourite who used to be on Home and Away? There is no filming at Palm Beach on Wednesdays and Fridays, but we have lined up an awesome meet and greet with a Home and Away fan favourite on these days.

3. Surf Club VIP Access
Unfortunately, there is no filming or meet and greet on Saturdays, but the tour does include VIP access to the Summer Bay Surf Club and lunch. A unique invite into this famous location gives fans the best view of the stunning Summer Bay!

4. Reduced Rate, Filming Unlikely
Filming occurs on almost all Mondays and Tuesdays, however there are certain times of the year (e.g. 2 weeks in July and around Christmas time) when the Production takes a break. On these days the Tour is available at a reduced rate.

Overview

The Official Home and Away Tour allows fans from all over the World to connect with their favourite show and experience the iconic outdoor locations featured in the hit TV program. On board, fans will be able to capture once in a life time photo opportunities, whilst expert guides share their extensive Home and Away knowledge.

Guests can re-live some of their favourite scenes from the series, whilst soaking up the Summer Bay lifestyle and enjoying the magnificent scenery along the coastal roads of Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Getting there and general information:

For guests staying at the Metro Mirage Hotel, Newport, the Official Home and Away Tour departs at approx. 2.15pm on weekdays and 11am on Saturdays from Dearin Reserve bus stop.  This is approx. 100 metres north of the hotel on Kalinya Street, close to Gladstone St.

Please make sure you are there 10 minutes before hand. The tour finishes at the same place at approx. 4.30pm on weekdays and 3pm on Saturdays (or alternatively you can stay on the bus to Manly Beach).  Please discuss with the driver on the day.

Please note, the usual pick-up point for those NOT coming from Metro Mirage Newport is the Museum of Contemporary Art on George Street, The Rocks Sydney.

For guests of the Metro Mirage Hotel Newport, the tour will finish at the hotel, (or at Manly Beach if discussed with the driver).  It is a 40 minute drive, if travelling from Manly back to the Metro Mirage Hotel.  If using public transport, visitors can catch the 199 bus from Manly Wharf, stand G towards Palm Beach and get off at Dearin Reserve, Kalinya Street.  This trip will take 1hour 15 minutes in total. Please discuss with the tour company directly for any special requirements and alternative pickup/ drop off arrangements.
