The 1.3km long patrolled beach is known for good swimming and surfing conditions. It has a range of facilities available to visitors including toilets, parking, picnic areas, picnic tables, a playground, showers, viewing platform and barbeques. It is also a popular beach as it provides access to many water sports including surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving, so it is a great destination to get your adrenaline pumping.

Getting there and general information:

It is an easy 4 minutes’ drive from Metro Mirage Hotel Newport and there is paid parking available. Using public transport visitors can catch the 199 or L90 bus towards Palm Beach from Dearin Reserve, Kalinya St- visitors should get off the bus at Barrenjoey Rd at Neptune Rd and then it is just a short 2 minute walk to the beach. The trip in total should only take 10 minutes. If you are up for a walk, the trip to Newport Beach will take you less than 25 minutes.
