The NT’s Million Dollar Fish competition runs annually from October to March. Specially tagged fish will be released in locations across the Top End including Darwin, East Arnhem Land, Tiwi Islands, Kakadu, Arnhem Land and Katherine.

Looking for your chance to become a millionaire? With more than $2.1 million in cash and prizes, including $1 million for one tagged barramundi, the Million Dollar Fish competition offers a fantastic haul of prizes.

 

Barramundi will be tagged and released into various locations across the Top End of Northern Territory waterways ready for the catching!

 

Famous for barramundi, the Northern Territory is widely known as Australia’s top fishing destination. Starting in 2015, Million Dollar Fish is now a popular competition on the Top End’s calendar of events. Million Dollar Fish continues to grow with more prize-tagged fish released every year. Across the Territory, Barramundi are tagged and secretly released in five main fishing regions: Darwin, Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Katherine and Tiwi. Since the competition launched, over 60 fishos from around Australia have caught tagged barramundi, and hundreds more have won amazing prizes.

Running from October to March, up for grabs are nine* Million Dollar Fish and 100 $10,000 Barra.
